If you haven’t already noticed, our brand-new electric buggies have arrived — and they’re just the beginning! We’re pleased to confirm that more models are on the way as part of our full fleet upgrade.
We’re actively phasing out the old petrol buggies, which no longer reflect the environmentally conscious and modern direction of Malkins Bank.
Our electric buggies are quieter, cleaner, and far more comfortable, offering a smoother, more enjoyable experience both on and off the course.
Hire Rates:
Members (18+) – £20
Visitors (18+) – £25
🔔 Pre-booking is essential to avoid disappointment. Please call the Pro Shop on 01270 765 931 to reserve your buggy.
Thank you for being part of this exciting new chapter at Malkins Bank Golf Club!

First and foremost, we want to apologise for the current condition of the course. What we’ve inherited requires significant improvement, and we completely understand any frustration this may have caused.
Right now, we’re focused on getting our new fleet of machinery out on the course to begin making immediate improvements. This will bring noticeable benefits, but due to seasonal limitations, conditions may not reach the full standard we’re aiming for just yet — weather and timing play a big role in some of the essential treatments and groundwork.
Major renovation work (such as fairway seeding, green rejuvenation, and tee box revitalisation) will be carried out in the October–January window, when the climate allows for long-term success.
In the meantime, you’ll see us working around the course — please feel free to ignore the machinery and activity; we’re simply getting stuck in to make your course better every day.
Thanks again for your patience and belief in the future of Malkins Bank.

As part of our commitment to raising standards and restoring pride in Malkins Bank Golf Club, we will now be enforcing a proper golf dress code across the course and practice facilities.
Previously, this wasn’t strictly monitored, but moving forward, all players are expected to wear appropriate golf attire. This includes:
Collared shirts or golf-specific tops
Tailored shorts or trousers (no denim or sports joggers)
Golf shoes with soft spikes
The same standard applies to the putting areas.
This helps us maintain the quality and professionalism of the course experience for all members and guests. We appreciate your support as we work to create an environment we can all be proud of.
If you're unsure about any items, feel free to ask a member of staff. We’re here to help!
